Purpose of the Charter
The charter aims to formalize the fundamental principles and commitments of Open Source Experts towards its employees, clients, partners, and in respecting, promoting, and contributing to the Open Source ecosystem.
We commit to respecting Open Source licenses.
Any development of any kind based on the code of free software is contributed back to it (upstream contribution), while respecting the confidentiality of our services.
Whenever possible, open formats will be preferred for office use (OpenDocument format).
We support organizations that defend the interests of the Open Source ecosystem.
We are involved in major community events: participation in trade shows, sponsorships, etc.
Our rules and terms of operation with our partners are objective, fair, and transparent, and are clearly defined in our contracts.
We take care of our partners, contributors, and the communities within the ecosystem to which we belong.
We do not require exclusivity from our partners.
We commit to adopting a dialogue and conciliation approach in case of internal conflict or dispute, favoring an amicable resolution over legal proceedings.
We are convinced of the advantages of Open Source, but we reserve the right to choose or not promote an Open Source solution if it does not meet specific needs or is not suitable for the client’s context.
At the end of each assignment, as part of our continuous improvement process, we have our services evaluated by our clients.
The client can choose from our partners those who best meet their expectations and challenges. The client can also propose partners of their choice.
We value the well-being and fulfillment of our employees.
We enable our employees to train throughout their careers on open source technologies to ensure their professional development.
We prioritize providing an Open Source professional environment—operating systems and application software—to our employees.
We promote gender equality as much as possible; individuals are recruited based on their skills and experience.
We prioritize videoconferencing and travel by public transport or train.
Encourage teams to optimize code to limit resource consumption (CPU, bandwidth, etc.) and thus reduce the carbon footprint.
Ensure that the solutions offered are usable by everyone, especially people with disabilities (compliance with accessibility standards such as RGAA).
Commit to complying with applicable laws and regulations (GDPR, CNIL, etc.) for all data collection and processing.
Implement and document security best practices (code reviews, prompt vulnerability fixes, etc.).
